On a perfect mid-October weekend, during the most gorgeous fall season, we traveled to Canmore, Alberta to document the wedding of two incredibly sweet souls. These two live life with the most honest and open hearts. The world really is a better place with these two in it. Breanna and Marc met at the gym years ago when Breanna was living in Marc’s home town of Winnipeg at the time. The two ended up moving to Breanna’s hometown in Calgary where they have settled since. They share their love with their adorable pup and an incredible tribe of family and friends.
Canmore is one of our favourite places in the world. We have spent lots of time in Alberta and consider it our second home. Documenting love stories in the mountains completely fills our souls. There is something so magical about capturing love in the soft light, breeze and picturesque mountain views of Canmore, Banff and Kananaskis. We’ve hiked the mountains, driven through some breathtaking scenery and spent time eating so much incredible food at some of the amazing restaurants both Canmore and Banff have to offer.
Breanna and Marc started their day at Basecamp Lodge and held their wedding at The Cornerstone Theatre in Canmore. After these sweetheart said I do, we ventured around Canmore capturing their moments on an absolutely perfect October day. For weeks Canmore and surrounding areas had snowfall warnings and blizzards. But on this perfect weekend, the sun came out, the snow melted away and we were left with bare grounds, greenery and golden sunsets! After we explored around Canmore we traveled to Two Jack Lake in Banff to capture more beautiful moments. Two Jack Lake holds a special place in our hearts. It’s where Ally’s sister had her first look at her wedding the year prior and a place we’ve spent a lot of time documenting love stories. To be there on this gorgeous day was everything. The universe blessed us with the best warm, golden light. As the sun began to set and the air began to cool we made our way back to Canmore for their reception. Many tears and laughs were shared over dances and drinks. We woke up the next morning with full hearts and matcha coconut milk lattes in our hands to explore Canmore one last time before heading home.
