We love when couples have days that represent them. We also love when couples have personal touches apart of their day that tell their personal story. There were many details that touched our hearts. Gillian wore her mother’s engagement ring that she now wears as her engagement ring. They made custom matching wedding bands, they had the most epic first dance, they wrote their own vows, they got ready together and they shared the best hugs all day. We are huggers and we love when couples embrace their hugs!
Gillian and Kanishka had an intimate wedding that took place at Terroni on Yonge in Toronto. Their wedding day will hold such a special place in our hearts. Not only are they a sweet couple, they also had the most intimate day that was full of love. They planned a small wedding that was all about their connection and the love they share with their closest friends and family. Other than the guests that attended, no one else even knew they were getting married. They surprised so many people!
For Gillian and Kanishka, it was important to have a wedding day that was about them becoming husband and wife. We loved so many aspects about their wedding day. One part of the day we loved the most was the fact they got ready together at the Park Hyatt Toronto. We love the anticipation and excitement that getting ready brings. We loved that they got to take part in that excitement together. It was so touching. Gillian helped Kanishka put on his jacket, his tie and his boutonnière. Kanishka helped Gillian into her dress and gave her the sweetest kiss. The other best part about this intimate wedding was the hugs. You can feel their love in every photo.
After they got ready together at the Park Hyatt Toronto, we drove to the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto for their portraits. The architecture and beauty of the Aga Khan Museum was an absolutely perfect fit for their day. We explored the grounds while capturing sweet moments of their connection. The simplicity of their day was stunning. Gillian wore a stunning two-piece dress and the coolest burgundy heels. Kanishka wore a dapper black suit. Her bouquet was wild with jewel toned flowers and greenery. They looked perfect.
We then met their guests at Terroni. Gillian and Kanishka rented a private room to host close family and friends for their ceremony, speeches and incredible dinner. Gillian’s father gave her away, and they exchanged the most beautiful vows to each other. There was not a dry eye in the room as they promised their love to one another. After they exchanged vows they broke out in dance to one of their favourite house tracks. It was seriously the best and so them.
Gillian and Kanishka blew us away by their kindness and how much they included us during their reception at Terroni. We felt so welcomed by them and every single one of their guests. We had the best day capturing this intimate Toronto wedding. It was a day full of so many wonderful people. Thank you Gillian & Kanishka for opening your hearts to us and letting us be apart of your love for a day.
