Although every year brings challenges and hard times, there are always great moments that happen whether big or small. We try our best to always be grateful and celebrate every good thing that happens. We are so insanely grateful for how wonderful 2016 was for us. We met so many inspiring couples and families, we made new friends, new little humans were born into our family, we traveled to some beautiful places and were able to be apart of so many beautiful moments. One of the best moments for us was our wedding day. It was the one day we had those nearest and dearest to us together in one room.Ā The highlights of our wedding day for us (other than the fact we got married with all of our loves in attendance) was our photographer, our first look, the fact one of our best friends married us, our dinner, Ally’s parents surprise dance routine, our late night taco truck and our best friends/favourite band UKAE performing. We wanted a day that was super relaxed, organic, natural and all about the love. Our incredible wedding professionals, family and friends made that happen.
We got married at Gracewood Estates at Kurtz Orchard in Niagara On The Lake. Our wedding professionalsĀ Robert J. Hill, Envy Hair Salon, Nicole Richards MUA, Brianne Charles, Rural Roots Flower Co.and DJ Lissa Monet made this day the best day. They all put so much love and hard work into their passions. You all inspire us and we are forever grateful. We could not have imagined this day without all of your spirits.
Diane of Rural Roots Flower Co.: The kindest and most gentle soul you could meet. Diane is so talented. We were blown away by her. We explained to her briefly what we were envisioning and put total trust in her. What she created on our wedding day was pure magic.
Envy Hair Salon: The best hair salon ever. I (Ally) have been going to the same salon for 7 years and now Nick is a regular too. It meant the world to us to have Allison and Cale apart of our wedding day. It was so special to us that they made so much effort to be there.Ā Not only did they make all the girls look fabulous, but they made the morning so fun!Ā Nicole Richards MUAĀ also made the morning such an enjoyable time.Ā From the moment I contacted her she was so friendly and so professional.Ā She really did blow me away. Nicole totally understood what I was envisioning and made everyone look flawless. Makeup was a concern for me, but her calm energy and talent made me feel so comfortable.Ā We had another makeup artist join us. A couple of my girlfriends wanted their makeup done last minute. My friend Brianne who is a talented MUA came through to help us and did an awesome job! She is so talented at what she does and also a beautiful woman inside and out.
OurĀ DJ Lissa MonetĀ is a true beauty. We met Lissa throughĀ Saje Wellness. We do a lot of work with Saje and were lucky enough to meet Lissa at a store opening last year. We loved her style, her vibe, her energy and personality. Lissa read the energy of the day and played the best tunes all day and night. She took the time to understand what we like and made sure the day felt like us. Our best friends Nickie and Taylor of UKAEĀ were the perfect compliment to the music of ourĀ wedding day. They played our first dance song, our father/daughter dance song, mother/son dance song and a UKAE original. They took our breath away as always. They are two of the most talented people we know with the best hearts. My dad is a musician and wrote a song about being a parent years ago. It’s always been his dream to hear one of his songs performed by talented artists. Nickie and Taylor learned the song and we surprised him for our father/daughter dance. Needless to say I bawled my eyes out. It was one of the greatest moments of my life. I couldn’t have imaged that moment without their voices.
