Emily + Jody’s wedding at Slit Barn in Cambridge was one of the most excitable weddings we’ve had the honour of documenting. It was July 27th which also happened to be Nick’s 30th Birthday! It was an extra special day given that but especially because Em + Jody are the people you just want to celebrate. They’ve been together for over a decade and their love is so light, playful and flirtatious as the day they first met. Their love is on another level. They share a deep and fun love that we adore. We were the most excited to spend Nick’s 30th documenting their big day!

Everyone was so excited to celebrate these two. And they were the most excited to get married! We knew how special the moment of her walking towards him down that aisle was and the anticipation was real. Emily + Jody totally fit this vibe of the venue dressed bright and beautiful. Emily wore a stunning lace dress and fulfilled her dreams of having the perfect mermaid hair. Jody rocked a white tuxedo with black details as if he walked right off a James Bond set. These two were radiating gorgeous white light and bright happiness. Their guests were stunned and wide eyed as they made their way down the aisle. Teary eyes were shared by all. You can truly feel their connection in your bones. Their respect for one another is so strong. Jody’s tears started before he saw her but once his eyes locked hers he gasped and covered his mouth which made everyone else catch their breath. The genuine tears were flowing. The way they look at one another is electric. Their love was felt even more during their heart throbbing vows to one another. With a kiss or two or three, they were officially married as they walked down together as husband and wife bumping Kings of Lion!

We had the best time hanging with Emily + Jody capturing their love and the love between their family and friends. There was so much joy to capture our cameras didn’t stop documenting smile after smile. We were not surprised to see they made The Slit Barn even cooler. With antique furniture around for everyone to relax on and a late night food truck it was pure Emily + Jody style. Emily is an interior designer with exceptional taste. One of the most heart warming moments that show just how thoughtful and selfless these two are is when they had the whole reception and every guest sing Happy Birthday to Nick. The fact they remembered and took time out of their incredibly special day to wish him a happy birthday made our hearts grow two sizes more. Congratulations Mr+Mrs.Watts! Your love will stay with us always.
